Campus
Hostel
Comfortable, supervised on-campus hostel accommodation with mess facilities, study spaces, and round-the-clock security.
Resident life
Separate boys' and girls' hostels with 24-hour security, mess, Wi-Fi, RO water, and common rooms.
VCL has fully-equipped hostels that extend the campus's "round-the-clock" learning environment to resident students. Separate hostels for boys and girls provide a comfortable, homely setting — with nutritious food, 24-hour security, and the freedom to focus on studies.
Hostel life also gives students the chance to live and learn alongside peers from different backgrounds in a harmonious community.
Rooms and amenities#
Every room is well-lit, well-ventilated, and air-cooled in summer. Students are provided with necessary furniture; bathrooms and toilets are attached to each room (shared between rooms). Hot water is supplied through geysers in winter.
The hostel runs on emergency power backup — two standby diesel generators (225 KVA and 30 KVA capacity) provide power during outages.
Health, safety and daily living#
- Emergency Medical Services (First Aid) — every hostel keeps a first-aid kit, and tie-ups with nearby hospitals provide round-the-clock ambulance access. Regular medical check-ups by qualified doctors are scheduled for hostellers.
- ATM — an ATM is located within the campus for student convenience.
- Housekeeping — dedicated housekeeping teams maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hostels.
- Water Supply — Reverse-Osmosis (RO) systems provide bacteria- and germ-free drinking water on a 24 × 7 basis.
- Common Room — each hostel has a common room with daily newspapers, magazines, satellite TV, and indoor games such as carrom and chess.
- Wi-Fi — campus Wi-Fi extends to the hostels, available 24 × 7.
- Sports — hostellers are encouraged to use the basketball, volleyball, badminton, and table-tennis facilities on campus.
- Security — round-the-clock security cover is in place.
